Welcome Message to New Participants

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to the website for the Groton Council on Aging! The Groton COA serves as the community focal point promoting the independence of residents ages 60 and older through information and referrals, support, health and wellness, socialization, education, and meal and transportation services.

I want to personally thank you for your interest in learning about all that we have to offer in The Groton Center, our beautiful new “home” since opening in 2019. If you have not visited The Groton Center yet, we would love for you to visit us in person! We would be happy to give you a tour of our beautiful facility, and we will give you a keytag so that you can register for classes and events either online, over the phone, or in person. “Membership” is free! We will also ask you to always use your keytag to check in at the front desk every time you visit The Groton Center. Keeping track of attendance in the building is important for our reporting requirements to the town, the state, and our grant providers. If you would like to complete the Membership Form ahead of time, we can have your key tag ready for you at the front desk upon your arrival. Click here for the Membership Form.

In addition to the website, our current newsletter is a great way to get acquainted with our activities. Click here for the newsletter.

If you have any questions, please give us a call at 978-448-1170. We are here to serve you!

Ashley Shaheen
Council on Aging Director
